Get the look of stone, brick, or tile with the durability and affordability of concrete.

Decorative concrete lets you have the best of both worlds. You get all the strength and longevity of concrete plus the visual appeal of high-end materials like natural stone, slate, brick, or tile. Stamped and decorative concrete can transform your driveway, patio, walkway, or pool deck into something that looks custom and expensive without the cost or maintenance of real stone.
Stamped concrete uses special mats or stamps to press patterns and textures into freshly poured concrete. The result looks like brick pavers, cobblestone, slate, flagstone, wood planks, or just about any other material you can think of. Combined with color, the effect is convincing and durable.
The process happens during installation. After we pour and smooth the concrete, we apply a color hardener to the surface. Then we press large rubber or polyurethane stamps into the concrete to create the pattern and texture. Once the concrete sets, we clean the surface and apply a sealer to protect it and enhance the color.
Unlike pavers or natural stone, stamped concrete is a single solid surface. That means no weeds growing between joints, no shifting or settling of individual pieces, and no ongoing leveling or re-sanding. It's easier to maintain and more stable over time.
The design possibilities with stamped concrete are nearly endless. Here are some popular options:
Color options range from natural earth tones like gray, tan, and brown to bolder choices like red, blue, or green. You can use a single color or layer multiple colors to create depth and variation. We can also add borders, bands, or contrasting sections to define different areas.
Whether you're upgrading a concrete driveway or designing a custom patio, decorative concrete gives you options that work with any architectural style.
Natural stone and pavers look great, but they come with downsides. Stone is expensive and heavy. Installation takes longer. Pavers require a sand base that can settle and shift over time. Weeds and ants love the joints between pavers. Maintenance never ends.
Stamped concrete gives you a similar look at a fraction of the cost. Installation is faster. The surface is solid, so there are no joints to fill or weeds to pull. Cleaning is as simple as hosing it down or using a pressure washer. If you ever need repairs, they're straightforward and less noticeable than replacing individual pavers or stones.
The durability is hard to beat. Properly installed and sealed stamped concrete can last 25 years or more with minimal care. It handles weather, foot traffic, and even vehicle traffic without breaking down. In Pomona's climate, that means standing up to hot summers, occasional rain, and years of sun exposure without fading or crumbling.
Installing decorative concrete requires skill and timing. The concrete has to be poured, smoothed, colored, and stamped within a tight window before it sets. We've done hundreds of stamped concrete projects and know how to work quickly and precisely to get clean patterns and consistent color.
After installation, the concrete needs time to cure. We recommend staying off it for at least 7 days and waiting 28 days before placing heavy furniture or driving on it. Once cured, the sealer protects the surface from stains, moisture, and UV damage.
Maintenance is minimal. Sweep or hose off dirt regularly. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the sealer. Reapply sealer every 2 to 3 years to keep the color vibrant and the surface protected. That's it. No sanding, releveling, or replacing pieces like you would with pavers.
